Really? Were you there Bob? We couldn't negotiate for higher pay or other things set by OPM but we could protect our fellow employees. If you were not a government employee then you have no idea what it's like.

I agree with most of the comments on this article. I must also add that I've been a unionized Federal worker (and at times a local president) for 30 years and we never had a slowdown, negotiated for pay or anything else. What we were good for was worker protection. We had out of control managers that would try to fire people or make their lives miserable and we would defend against that. One manager was so hated he ended up with a sexual harassment charge and was promoted to DC. (that's the way they do it in DOT, promote the incompetent and dirty dogs)

MANY of us agree with that sentiment.

Almost all of the EPA people I've had to deal with are nuts. They don't care what anyone else has to say even when proved wrong or shown a better way to do something. I say get rid of the whole Agency.
