You are right that there are not that many making $250K or more. Far too many have no expectation whatsoever of making that much and it seems to them to be an excessive amount. They have little understanding of the effort over a lifetime to reach that goal, the years of studying during K12 years to get good grades rather than hanging around, striving to earn scholarships to help offset the cost of college, working after classes rather than drinking and partying during college years, working hard to learn your profession and to step up the ladder rather than just getting by. Finally saving and minimizing debt, buying a home and paying off the mortgage. Marrying a spouse that contributes to the marriage and ensures that children learn.

We are still borrowing more than $1 trillion a year. Barack Obama has added more than $5 trillion to the national debt in just his first term alone. Such massive borrowing is unsustainable. Someone somehow at some time has to pay it back.

Obama would agree. He once alleged that George W. Bush's much smaller deficits were "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." Obama himself vowed to cut the budget deficit in half by the end his first term. Instead, Obama's annual deficits have never gone below $1 trillion.
