The Obama who said he would cut the deficit in half, or the Obama who now presides over a record-breaking deficit? The Obama who said he was going to close Guantanamo Bay, or the Obama who allows it to stay open? Who is going to show up today? or tomorrow?
Obama won. Not by a lot, but by more than enough.
In the end it came down to the battleground states, and President Obama won most of them by slim, but decisive, margins.
