How Liberals Argue: Food Stamps Stimulate the Economy

They stimulate only in as much that when the economy is down that's money going directly back into the economy in the form of purchasing food. Money that otherwise wouldn't be in the economy and people would go hungry without the jobs that the so called job creators should be creating under the low Bush tax cuts.

If you were starving, I would bet that there are a lot of jobs that would be filled by these citizens. Look at all of the labor intensive, low paying jobs that are not filled such as farm labor and construction jobs. Get rid of the federal government's requirement to pay union wages on all contracts.

money that would be in the economy if it wasnt taken from earners. they would be using that money they earned. thus they would be stimulating without gubmint interference

you lazy cowardly pissants know that without other peoples money, you would starve. as nature intended the weak to do.

survial of the fittest as nature made things, would mean that those lazy and unwilling to work would perish. so to keep yourswelves alive. you need gubmint to take from others to provide for you.

your grandfather would be ASHAMED

oops he IS ashamed

Your joking, right? Do you know so little about economics?

Every Thursday morning I go on the Jon Justice show in Southern Arizona. Today, I made a comment about the glorification of food stamps and apparently that sparked a deluge of calls like the one below in which the caller argues welfare stimulates the economy.

Considering Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi thinks the same way, I'm not surprised.

"It's the biggest bang for the buck."
