My Endorsement for President

You must have lost your mind, Chuck. The only candidate who even comes close to matching your 10 points is Dr. Ron Paul. Gingrich is a big-government advocate who does not (and will not) respect the constitution, understands only how rich America works, and has absolutely no chance of beating Obama. When I read your ten points, I thought for sure you were describing Ron Paul. You better take a second look at Gingrich, because he's not the man you think him to be.
I agree with you in principle... But, you want to talk about a waste of tax payer money!? Testing people for drugs is a HUGE waste of tax payer money. Florida recently tried that, and spent millions just to learn that hardly any of their welfare recipients use cannabis (which is about the only drug you can reliably test for). They didn't test for alcohol or tobacco, which are used and abused by many more welfare recipients than any illicit substance. Why are those ok?.And what about prescription meds? You can't arbitrarily outlaw some drugs -- it just doesn't work, and it doesn't make any sense.
But you consume refined sugar -- that's a drug. You consume MSG, that's a drug. There is no such thing as a drug-free society. I do agree with you in principle -- people should be free to make their own choices, good or bad, so long as they don't hurt others. But ... The most abused drugs in this country, or any other, are prescription medications. Those drugs are legal, and cause lots of problems on our roads -- problems you never hear about -- far more problems than illegal intoxicants. The simple fact is prohibition doesn't work. Alcohol is one of the most dangerous, destructive, and deadly drugs known to man -- and we have systems to deal with it accordingly. There's absolutely no reason we can't do the same for all the other drugs.
I don't need to read TH's reviews -- they're a corporate media organization, and a horribly biased one at that. They WANT you to think Ron Paul is "unelectable", but you get to vote for whoever you want. If liberty scares you, you're living in the wrong country, because it's what we were founded on -- it's the principle we as American citizens are to hold most sacred, and it must be restored. " ... we have forgotten what made America great, good, and prosperous. We need to quickly refresh our memories and once again reinvigorate our love, understanding, and confidence in liberty. The status quo cannot be maintained ... " - Ron Paul
You're not wrong about your assessment, but it's up to us to educate the masses and set them straight. They're going to try calling Ron Paul a nut, but the real "nuts" are already running the show -- just the way the corporations that own our government like it.

Sneak Peek: January 2012 Cover

Not a very appropriate cover. Despite what you media nitwits want to push, Newt has no place in this race. It will be Mitt Romney vs. Ron Paul -- the same old failed policies and empty talking points, vs. fresh ideas and a return to liberty. If the GOP wants to win the White house in 2012, they have no choice but to nominate Ron Paul.
Totally wrong -- The GOP has no choice but to nominate Ron Paul if they want to win the white house. Any other pick is to concede defeat before we even have the election. Ron Paul is the only one who can actually beat Obama, because he can carry independents. Also, he's become too big to deny the nomination -- he will simply run as a third party candidate, eliminating any chances of the GOP taking the white house. And he can still win on a third-party ticket -- his support is growing by leaps and bounds.
The "war on drugs" is a war against ALL American citizens -- it doesn't matter if you use drugs or not -- and chances are good that you use a lot of drugs, because most people in our society do. From alcohol, to tobacco, to aspirin, to caffeine, to refined sugar -- you've definitely taken several drugs today alone -- we all have. To arbitrarily treat some drugs that don't have barcodes differently makes absolutely no sense. Over the last 40 years, Uncle Sam has wasted over a trillion dollars on his insane war on some drugs. During that time, he spent about $250 Billion on the space shuttle program -- we got a MUCH better return on our investment from that program. If we are to survive as a nation, we must end the war against our own people
"Ron Paul is absolutely, unconditionally unelectable" ... nonsense. Pretty much the only one's who seem to think that are corporate media pundits. He seems to be doing quite well with the people, and in the end -- that will be all that matters. Why don't you stop talking about how "unelectable" the man is, and start talking about the value of his proposed policies -- because most of them are quite good.
... It would seem to me that it's the religious folks doing all the whining. The Christians stole the winter festival from the pagans, and now they act like they own it. But if anything, Christmas today is a psuedo-capitalistic holiday, having almost nothing to do with religion. It's the celebration of the dollar, and all the useless crap people don't need.
