Education: Too Important for a Government Monopoly

John, except for John Taylor Gatto's books and the above named book, nearly every book about the public school system is written by so-called education experts who've never taught in a public school classroom. As much as we'd like to blame the teacher for all the woes in our schools, there are a few actually fighting the system and trying to teach. But they are few and the tide is against them because the system has legalized stupidity. I'd be glad to tell you how they've done this.
