Riffraff, you have described the Bush run Republican Party exactly. As long as the Bush family controls the GOP, the Republican party deserves to lose, lose, and lose.
Jeb is "Thinking about running"? What a liar, there has been a campaign for Jeb to be President since Daddy Bush decided Jeb should be President back when he misran the office. The target was probably 2000, but W took his place, making 2016 the target year for "Jeb's Turn" in the family plans. Remember the Jeb for President planning meeting two days after Romney lost? I do, and all the henchmen were there--McKinnon, Bush, Rove, et al. In fact, the Rove and US Chamber effort to make sure conservatives aren't nominated or elected this year in the Republican party are all part of the plan to keep the Bush family RINOs in control of the GOP and assure Jeb is the GOP nominee in 2016. He want a bunch of neo Rockefellerites like himself to run with him in 2016. You know, a Party Jeb can be Proud of. A Republican Party run by the Bush family deserves to lose.
This list has four flaws. Pat Buchanan is not listed as among the 25 most influential conservatives in the Country. Plainly, he is one of the best spokesmen for conservative positions. On the other hand, three people are listed as influential conservatives who are only considered conservatives by rabid liberals, and one of the "honorable mentions should be iisted as an Israeli lobbytst.. The non-conservatives listed are Newt Gingrich, John McCain, and Karl Rove--none of which should be included on this list. None of them are conservative, unless you think Nelson Rockefeller, Cold War liberal who worked to elect Lyndon Johnson in 1964 after Goldwater won the Republican Presidential nomination instead of liberal Scranton. Rocky would be these guys favorite Presidential candidate--except for RINO Jeb Bush. Adelson spends a lot of money in campaign, but only for candidates he feels would be approved by his friend Benjamin Netanyahu--Prime Minister of Israel.
A "jobs creation act" which gives money to employers is laughable. That's what NAFTA and other "free trade" agreements are all about, making companies richer by sending jobs and factories to the third world, import goods cheap, and put firms who stay here out business. Look around you? And you just want to subsidize hem to keep the doors open and hire folks at minimum wage? As for the Read the Bill plan, why make congressmen read bills when they don't care what's in them, or worse yet don't know how to read one in the first place? Won't change any votes. Congress will always vote with the big money unless their constituents hammer them like anvils. Look at Amnesty for the nearest example. Much better than auditing the Fed is a simple law preventing the fed from making loans to foreign banks. We don't know how many trillions they have lent to them, and a report alone won't change anything. The "Spending freeze" has more holes than a screen door in it. And the misnamed "cut your gas bill" is just a sellout to the Oil Industry A "pledge to end bailouts" is just a set of words. And "clawing back" the NSA sounds like a good idea, but still leave an awful lot of leeway for the NSA to spy on us. Immigration was not mentioned, the biggest single threat to our nation's wellbeing. I give this list a "C" for effort and "F" for content. Hope no one is foolish enough to think "This is a good idea".
