Also, we did NOT have a complete blockade. Adm. King wanted to seize bases in China and Korea in which to make it nearly complete and MacArthur claimed by Nov 1945 Japanese shipping would be negligible. Japan had converted about 2000 planes to be kamikazes, and intel showed our invading troops would have faced about 600,000 Japanese military on Kyushu on D-Day (Nov 1), and the casualty ratio was revised to between 1:2 to 1:1 based upon Okinawa experience. As my son wrote the professor, "It would have been a bloodbath."

Your son is correct. My Dad was scheduled to be on one of the beachheads in Japan. If they hadn't dropped the atomic bomb, he probably wouldn't have come home. These idiots today think they know more than the men - like my Dad - who were actually there.

Randy & ShakaZubama: Excellent points! Randy, my sincere condolences on

fired for allowing his left-leaning biases conflict with his educational duties!

God bless cell phones. With them we can chat with our friends; we can watch the grossest zit since the dawn of time being popped via YouTube; and our kiddos can record their bat crap crazy teachers attempting to mitigate their First Amendment rights!

This week audio surfaced of a North Carolina teacher, Tanya Dixon-Neely (black), berating 13-year-old Hunter Rogers (honky) for criticizing president Obama (hate crime). Neely said Rogers could be arrested for slandering Obama. What a crock! Children cannot be arrested for criticizing Obama—at least not until his second term when we will truly see our First...
