You forget that conservatives do not hold up George W. Bush as a hero of the party, but objected to nearly everything he did while in office--especially the spending and increasing the size of government. I heard no liberals objecting to anything they did in that line. And yet liberals and progressives echo the current President by pointing out Bush's malfeasance. Hello? We know, we know. Here is the kicker, though--catch the logic of it--that Obama and those who love what he does use Bush's irresponsibile overspending as the excuse for the Government to do it some more? The same idiocy? What? It is Bush's fault for the first stimulus (which, lest we forget, was pushed and endorsed by the Democratic House--it did not originate...

Giles has nailed it. The reasons why Sarah Palin attracts the slings and arrows of outraged progressivism is that she gives the lie to everything radical feminism stands for. (Notice I make a distinction between radical fem and the rest.)
