Oh, protesting against excessive government spending and increasing size are we?

What about the cost of an illegal war in Iraq?

How much is it now - a trillion dollars?

What about the Department of Homeland Security spying on American citizens?

What about the zillions spent to upkeep American forces in just about every country and buy the latest military "toys"?

Your leader, Bush could spend and spend and spend, but when Obama tries to clean up the mess that Bush left behind , he is a "socialist"?

Get real!

What's this ... a lesson in the use of adjectives?

The US Census Bureau says it all:

"Minorities, now roughly one-third of the U.S. population, are expected to become the majority in 2042, with the nation projected to be 54 percent minority in 2050. By 2023, minorities will comprise more than half of all children.

The non-Hispanic, single-race white population is projected to be only slightly larger in 2050 (203.3 million) than in 2008 (199.8 million). In fact, this group is projected to lose population in the 2030s and 2040s and comprise 46 percent of the total population in 2050, down from 66 percent in 2008."

I guess this is what a hysterical outburst looks like!

But ... each to his or her own.

As for the Blue Dog "Democrats" they don't know what true liberalism really means.

Now what's that famous quote from the most despised American "leader" ever?

"Either you're with us or you're against us"

BTW I see that the Iraqi shoe-thrower has been released and received a hero's welcome.

Just a timely reminder and foot-note to 8 years of Republican and Conservative failure

Still magnifying those teabagger protest figures I see.

2 million ... what sheep?

What an assortment of riff raff, clingers to guns and distorted religion, race baiters, racists, would be slave owners, xenophobes and just generally hate filled losers.

If this is what mainstream conservatism has come to then the Right has reached its nadir!
Yup, we be the hammers ...

You be the nails ...

So your choice ... you're gonna get hammered ... or nailed ...

And Obama is still President of the United States!

And there is nothing that you and your ilk can do about it!

Just when you thought that we had gotten rid of those traitors - from the 11 Southern slave states - the Old South rises again.

So after almost 150 years they still haven't learnt their lesson.

Maybe we'll have to teach them again!

This time we'll do it proper!
Whilst we are talking about MM Economics why not talk about the Mickey mouse Economics that got us into the mess we're in?

As they say, the past is prologue.

You can't undo 8 years of failed Bush economic policy in less than 1 year - heck maybe not even in 2 or 3 years.

The apologists for unbridled capitalism still can't come to grips with the financial meltdown.

It was pure, unadulterated greed and lack of financila oversight by the government agencies.

So all this talk about "socialism" and "socialist policies" is just hogwash.

There is need for government Keynesian intervention to help the economy get back on track.

We've seen where 8 years of supply-side economics has gotten us.
"Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol today in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News.

Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.

At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as "tens of thousands."

America is changing. There's no denying it.

According to the US Census Bureau:

"The nation will be more racially and ethnically diverse, as well as much older, by midcentury ..."

" Minorities, now roughly one-third of the U.S. population, are expected to become the majority in 2042, with the nation projected to be 54 percent minority in 2050. By 2023, minorities will comprise more than half of all children".

"... the Hispanic population is projected to nearly triple, from 46.7 million to 132.8 million during the 2008-2050 period. Its share of the nation’s total population is projected to double, from 15 percent to 30 percent. Thus, nearly one in three U.S. residents would be Hispanic."

Here is what FactCheck.org said last August:

"FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said."

Here's what PolitiFact.com said:

When we spoke to a spokeswoman for the Hawaii Department of Health, she said too much was being made of the difference between the so-called "long" and "short" forms.
