It's a fight they cannot win. They know it. This is why they are already hinting that they intend to cave. I think the "present" vote will not only send a message about Obama, it will make it plain that they are NOT to blame for the bill the Democrats create and vote for. This is a hard pill to swallow. Nobody wants surrender, but this is not a one battle war. The war against the Marxists will never end. We must be prepared to fight them indefinitely, and part of that is, sadly, to let America have some of the poisoned Kool-Aid. It won't kill them, but it's going to make all of us sick for a while.

What should conservatives make of this provocative post from "RB" at the Right Sphere, which basically counsels Congressional Republicans to just get out of the way and let Obama have his way on the fiscal cliff?  Though I have some fundamental quarrels with the premise, I must confess that RB's "let it burn" playbook is certainly appealing on some level:
