Super Mega Category ONE storm... come on people. This was not a huge strom by hurrican levels. It did a lot of damge becuase of the location of where it hit land... the Discovery Channel has been running a show about this possible scenario for hears. But in their scenario it is a Cat 5 storm (like Katrina was...). The issue is with the lack of any forethougt by BIG GOVERNMENT types. Instead of worrying about the size of a soda, our health insurance choices and COLA for SSAN recipients... they need to do their constitutional duty and protect us. Both from agressive military actions as well as having some foresite into this type of thing. They've been talking about the electric grid being old for decades... lets do something.

There was plenty of foresight, in fact this storm followed the predictions as if it was programmed. No entity can provide protection against something like this. It is up to the people to secure their property and persons and then evacuate. If they don't want to evacuate, then they must prepare themselves for an extended "camping experience" shelter, food and water come to mind. Then add in any amenities you feel necessary. It might also be prudent to check with like thinking neighbors to share resources. Taking Bush, Bloomberg, Obama. to task is shifting the blame for you're actions to someone else.

By hurricane standards this only a cat 1 or cat 2 maybe,. What made it look stronger than it was, was NY skyline that alone helped to increase the wind factor by about fifty fold. That skyline acted just like a wind tunnel and helped to speed up the forces of said wind.

Mega-SuperStorm Sandy Endorses Obama, Cites War on Women

Alternately referring to Hurricane Sandy as either a “superstorm” or a “megastorm” our friends at the Liberal Press Office have helped put Sandy in perspective by letting us know that this year’s meteorological winner of American Idol was spawned by global warming, intensified by rising ocean temperatures and sponsored by Big Oil.

Citing no actual scientific evidence- why use science when you believe SO strongly?- it’s apparent that the headlines used by the mainstream media to cover the post-Sandy ascendancy virtually wrote themselves well prior to Sandy’s gestation.
