Hmm... I recall some who were saying this was a bad idea before it was included in the bill. But they weren't really worried about it being a bad idea for real reasons... No, those people were just being obstructionists becuase they are racists. How many more of the funding mechanisms of this really bad idea of a law will be just brushed aside before anyone of the dems realize that this thing can't stand on its own? ONe bad idea after another... and they aren't even half way through coming up with the regulations. Time to throw it out and start working on something that will actually give us choice and will work. We've wasted billions on this thing already... and it is chasing doctors away and raising our premiums.

"Time to throw it out and start working on something that will actually give us choice and will work."

The best thing the government could possibly do about healthcare is: as little as possible.

Apparently, the Senate thinks the medical device tax in ObamaCare is a pretty bad idea and voted to repeal it last night.

The Senate overwhelmingly passed a largely symbolic resolution calling for repeal of a 2.3 percent tax on medical device companies on Thursday, as more than 30 Democrats joined Republicans in approving it.

The tax helps to fund President Barack Obama's 2010 healthcare law. It applies to a range of medical products - from bedpans to expensive heart devices - many manufactured in the home states of the senators backing the repeal.
