Mike Lee: Senators Only Had Six Minutes to Read “Fiscal Cliff” Bill Before Voting

You could give Mike Lee six hours to read the bill and he couldn't get it done. Another Mormon legacy pol from Utah riding on his dead daddy's coattails. I'm sure his dead daddy is looking down benevolently from his own planet populated with his myriad celestial wives. Man, you gotta love these tea party clowns, nothing but b***h, b***h, b***h...

He hasn't thought that far ahead.

It's all about insults and put downs.
That's all the little tykes can muster out of their tiny pea brains.

I don't know Mike Lee personally, thus I don't "like" or "dislike" him. I dislike the fact that he is grossly exaggerating, if not down-right lying, about having only "six minutes" to read the senate bill sent to the house, just, as a tea party denizen, he exaggerates and distorts everything about those not of his ilk. I do know, from living for years among the LDS community that Mike Lee would not be where he is today but for his old man's political connections in the Mormon Church. He would simply be another sanctimonious blow-hard from the Beehive State.

NO.

You don't know sheet. You are assuming you know something and it's pretty obvious you don't.
Opinions are not facts and you are not part of the process in DC so you are clueless as to the time frame they had to read it.
It was voted on at the last minute so I would tend to lean to senator Lees take than your guess work.

If so, why vote for it? Because McConnell told him to? Does Lee represent Kentucky? Does he take orders from McConnell? Why did Boehner vote for it? And Ryan? Are we really going to blame this on the Dems? Did they force us to vote for this? If you are handed a long contract and told to sign and given only 6 minutes to read it, what would you do? What is wrong with us? We have become victims and whiners. . . "it isnt our fault", "you cant blame us" Disgusting.

What could go wrong, right? According to Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee, members of the upper chamber had -- at most -- six minutes to read the “fiscal cliff” bill before they voted on it. Little wonder, then, that the so-called “compromise” (save for a few silver linings) was in many respects a complete and total disaster (via Reason):

“Everything about this bill was a failure…you need look no further than the fact that we were given a total of six minutes before we voted on it. Not one single Senator who voted...
