I would ad another reason that's similar to your second one. I think the Left gets frustrated. They diligently follow the party line but the solutions supported by the Left don't work, or make things worse. They're frustrated that the people they're supposed to be against are able to fix things.

I also found this ad offensive and disturbing. They shouldn't say that it's ok to exude that much blatant sexuality in front of a child. The man's attitude toward the boy's mother was possessive and objectifying. Also, why aren't people upset that this setup, which shows a single mother, features black people? What a stereotype to mix with humor!
