And it should be Newton's third law, not Second.
First, no theory is just “made up” whether it is global warming, evolution, or relativity. (For the record I am a Christian and I DO believe in evolution). Second, which do you wish to address? Global warming and climate change are not the same concepts. Is there global warming? According to the most recent accurate measurements, we haven’t warmed for the past decade and a half. Is there climate change? Yes, the Earth’s climate has always been under a change, it’s the nature of the Earth. We are arrogant to think that we know what the Earth’s climate SHOULD be. Are we the cause of climate change? We do have a role in a very small way, but nature is self-correcting so the changes are negated (much like the stock market). Every year there are new cycles and patterns that are discovered that is adding to our knowledge of how this big blue marble works. Remember, the same people who say we are burning up now are the same people who said we were headed for an ice age back in the 70s, using much of the same data. Now before the “Most scientists agree…” arguments start, realize that many of the studies that were used to support global warming were studies that were not even studying global warming but some other phenomena. The results just happened to support what the anthropological change supporter’s theory (I am looking for the list now, it is in a journal I no longer have a subscription for and is a costly abstract online). Also realize that the common “97%” figure of supporters given should be read as “97% of the scientists we asked regardless of their discipline”. As professions that have no reason to study climate change are filtered out, the figure moves more towards 50/50. If you just look at geophysicists (those who SHOULD be studying climate change) the number moves to under 40%. This is a good article to read about that one: http://oss.sagepub.com/content/33/11/1477.full.

Change the picture. That is an Impala not a Volt.

You don't want to defend South Korea? If we didn't defend South Korea, Daewoo wouldn't be able to develop GM's Delta II platform which the Chevy Cruze is based. The Cruze provides the platform for the Volt. Discussions of cars and science fall right into my wheelhouse so any discussion of either would be welcome.
