The part that bothers me about this, if it did happen, is the report that copies of the president's itinerary were left out on a bedside table while the festivities were going on. Of course, that pales beside the fact that the president not only told our enemies flat out that we are going to pull out of Afghanistan but gave them a timetable for it! Which is the bigger blunder?

Yeah, why be afraid of government taking over our lives; that could never happen.

On a related topic; this is the anniversary of the date in 1775 when the militias of Lexington and Concord fired on government troops who were marching to seize their armory---"The Shot Heard 'round the World" that began our revolutionary war.
Ther is an alternative,it's called 'Personal Responsibility' !!!
The Supreme Court, congress and the senate and Nancy Pelosi can't be bothered to read it all, but, we should just go ahead and accept it?
Of course it works; illegals were leaving by the hundreds before it even went into effect!

A Safer Society with Guns

The "Rabbit People" always whimper that any sort of loosening of gun regulations will result in the eruption of a general bloodbath, shootouts in the streets, and declare that this is no longer the wild west (whatever that means; there are easily as many bloodthirsty savages per capita now as there ever were). And they are always wrong! Nonetheless, they continue to espouse the insane notion that in order to be safer from violence we must dis-arm ourselves! Anyone who truly believes that should proudly display a sign on their front lawn saying: This house is a gun-free zone! An armed potential victim means that the criminal's life is ALSO in jeopardy! Tell me that isn't a deterrent. Firearms ownership is a big responsibility, and THAT...

Complex Societies Need Simple Laws

We have yield signs so why do we have stop signs? Short answer: shallow thinkers feel it is a good idea. Some bureaucrat found himself under pressure to "do something" so, instead of punishing the offenders more strictly, (which might lose votes or cause someone to dislike him) he decided it would be easier to just make a blanket law that punishes responsible and irresponsible alike; never mind that those who will run a yield sign will run a stop sign just as well. So now we all have to play Mother-May-I at every intersection because a few nincompoops act irresponsibly! Wouldn't the country be better-served by taking the attitude that essentially states; "We expect those who drive motor vehicles to use good judgment and if they don't...

15 Responsibilities You Have As An Adult

John Hawkins has hit the nail right on the head; this should be the conservative manifesto! There is, however, one statement that I disagree with; it is ALL ABOUT being conservative or liberal! This matter of personal responsibility is the core difference between the two philosophies. Look at any subject about which they disagree: liberals deny personal responsibility, they pretend that it doesn't exist and that anyone who finds themselves in dire circumstances, regardless of whether it was entirely their own fault or not, has the right to expect others, who made better choices, to come to their rescue. Conservatives, on the other hand, believe that each mentally-competent adult is responsible for their own safety and well-being and...
