The state of California has atrophied in so many ways through the decades. Once a beacon for the other 49, it is now the laughingstock of the USA. So many systemic issues to deal with, as Hanson writes about, the state is a great place to live, but it could be another quarter century before it either descends to Third World toilet status or corrects course and strives for her former greatness. The jury is out.

Chapman..what would you say about the Muslim immigrants who rioted for weeks in the streets of France, burning cars and destroying buildings..they weren't moderate in the least. I, for one, think the French military should have swept into the area with "shoot to kill" orders, after warnings flooded the communities affected.
