Guess what, Mr. Owebummer? That "somebody" who helped you somewhere along the line would be what is known WE THE PEOPLE. That same "somebody" forged a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that helped you weasel your way into your current position. "Somebody" elected representatives, empowered them, and gave them the money to create the infrastructure, trade and labor laws, and a justice system to protect an individuals right to pursue the American Dream. That mythical "somebody" was here right from the start. Believe it or not, We the People didn't just happen upon a government and ready made infrastructure. But, what can one expect from a man who says, to paraphrase: America is a great county, I hope you'll help me change it.
Perhaps the rain made the teleprompter unreadable. That's one thought I had on pondering Barack Obama's comments to a rain-soaked rally in Roanoke, Va., last Friday.

Perhaps he didn't really mean what he said. Or perhaps -- as is often the case with people -- when unanchored from a prepared text he revealed what he really thinks.
