Why does the money have to get taken out of Oaklahoma worker's pockets then sent back to Oaklahoma? Why can't Oaklahoma just bypass the middleman and use their resources directly?

Thanks. Every once in a while I do things right--most of the time though, I cannot find my keys, wallet or watch.

And so... from this you conclude that tinkering by central planners the life blood of the economic systems of the earth is the solution?

Michael_Hillinger (QR) Wrote: "Your grasp of the scientific method is pretty shaky." I never indicated a LAW = “proven.” Thanks for the straw man-but no thanks. You also spent many more words than I saying the same thing. The fundamental understanding of science is that ALL theories are wrong. Some are useful, in science, usefulness is established, not by consensus, nor by the number of capital letters and periods behind your name on stationary, not by fear, or popularity and not by smugness, strawmen, or arrogance… But by repeatedly and accurately predicting future events In your desire to paint yourself smart, you forgot to answer the question: What model (based on AGW) has repeatedly and accurately (year over year) predicted the Earth’s temperature? In other words—where is the useful theory? If you have a useful theory, the next question is obvious to those of us who actually practice science: What are the sensitivities of each factor and which ones are above the measurement noise? Not knowing this makes policy determination the equivalent of ghost chasing.

"There is no scientific other side."---dhensley813 Wow--tell that to Copernicus, Einstien, DeBroglie... Here's how science is supposed to work: You see a pattern in nature, you come up with an explanation, then test it. if the explanation repeatedly, and under various conditions, is predictive--you have established a THEORY. If the THEORY continues and is ubiquitous--it becomes a LAW. Here's the kicker--even the LAW's are wrong (see Quantum physics. vs. Newton) The key element in science is that theories must predict future events. If your theory does not predict a future event--you don't have one. Parting question: What prediction from the self described THEORY of AGW has come true?

Several years ago I learned from a neighbor of mine who was a psychiatrist. He worked with American Indian Males. His take on the terrible state these young men were in was primarily due to insertion of government support (he was very liberal.) However, he had come to the conclusion that the government had inserted itself--replacing the role of the Indian male. Essentially, making the indian male useless to Indian women and tribes. The result was aimless, drunken, violent behavior. You don't have to be a psychologist to figure out if you remove a person's purpose and place in society--set them adrift--things won't go well.
