Citizens are outgunned by both the government and the criminals on the street. Law-abiding citizens do not have access to automatic weapons as do the police and our government agencies. If semiautomatics are banned and magazine capacity limited, law-abiding citizens will be forced to use 19th century technology to defend themselves against attackers using 21st century firearms technology.

The anti-gun lobby would have us use 19th century weapons to defend against villains with 21st century arms. Ignoring our natural right to protect ourselves, the anti-gun mob would put us further behind the curve vis-à-vis criminals, and our own government, by banning semiautomatic weapons. These so called “assault weapons” which Homeland Security calls “self-defense rifles” are the latest technology that law-abiding citizens in the US are currently allowed to own. Banning semiautomatic weapons and limiting magazine capacity affect only law-abiding citizens, not criminals or the government.

More lives are saved by firearms: about 1.5 million people draw guns in self defense in this country. More children are killed on tricycles than are killed by guns....facts but irrelevent. What you call paranoia results from history. Suggest you stludy history.

Are you for reaL? The right to keep and to bear arms is what put the teeth in any constitution. The right to speak freely is only protected by those who are will...and able...to fight for that right.
