The Republican spending program called Medicare Prescription forbids the government from negotiating drug prices to get the best deal for the taxpayer. The Republican mantra is "what ever the taxpayer will bear", instead of the more free-market lyric of "whatever the free-market will bear." Another part of the deal was to make it a felony for an American to go to Canada and purchase their drugs at a cheaper cost. Talk about a Nanny-state. It's a Republican Nanny-state where those protected are Big-Pharma companies.

Small minds always leap to the answers given the last time around, which is probably why Maxine Waters keeps getting re-elected. But the last time is not necessarily the same as this time.
