Actually, Democrats do not technically control the Senate. To control, they need 60. They don't have it. So they basically can't get anything through the House or the Senate.

You are aware that by simple majority they can change Senate rules, right? In fact, during the Bush administration many conservatives urged the "nuclear option". Look up "filibuster reform". Learn to compromise, Republicans, and stop filibustering. Or keep pushing and see what happens.
