The looming ever larger ~~fact~~ in California is that cities are going bankrupt under the crushing demands of unions. San Bernardino has 50+ civilian union employees that are being given their walking papers as part of an announced bankruptcy. The Police Department is eliminating positions for sworn officers and there are a lot of officers that are going to have to accept pay cuts, demotion in rank, and increased on duty hours in order keep their own jobs.
