The looming ever larger ~~fact~~ in California is that cities are going bankrupt under the crushing demands of unions. San Bernardino has 50+ civilian union employees that are being given their walking papers as part of an announced bankruptcy. The Police Department is eliminating positions for sworn officers and there are a lot of officers that are going to have to accept pay cuts, demotion in rank, and increased on duty hours in order keep their own jobs. Local news covering the story shows pictures of city employees looking like the victims of a natural disaster. Looks like the gravy train has reached the end of the line for a lot of people who have been riding first class

In a long-overdue moment, governor Jerry Brown has finally admitted the obvious, the state's pension system is broke and California Has "Lived Beyond Our Means". Unions of course are howling at that obvious admission.
