We find ourselves in a similar situation to those in England under the rule of King George. The edict then was that all must belong to the Church of England.

The just-passed modern healthcare edict mandates that we join the ranks of those who believe in orthodox medicine and demands that we pay large sums of “donations” to it.

This is like forcing us to join a church whose beliefs we do not embrace.

Many people use alternative healing methods in this country and consider the use of orthodox medicine as the last resort. In our personal situation, we have very successfully used alternative methods for many years and have seen others use it very successfully as well.

There are many mature and spiritual people who practice homosexuality. The more emotionally mature among this group should not be allowing the less mature to dominate the conversation about same-sex marriage. Civil unions are a very dignified choice. Being a judge does not guarantee one’s maturity. I believe deep-seated anger among the immature is at the heart of the gay marriage issue. Those who have chosen or are born with a homosexual personality should drop their anger-driven siege against American traditions. Even if they continue to force the issue until they've won the "right" to get "married", society will never look upon same-sex marriage as the same thing.
