There are many mature and spiritual people who practice homosexuality. The more emotionally mature among this group should not be allowing the less mature to dominate the conversation about same-sex marriage. Civil unions are a very dignified choice. Being a judge does not guarantee one’s maturity. I believe deep-seated anger among the immature is at the heart of the gay marriage issue.
