If you think about it, it's obvious why they covered up that fact that it was an al Qaeda attack. Obama was roughly 1.5 months away from the election and they were afraid that if it was known that this was a coordinated terrorist attack, the Romney team would pull out all stops to show that Obama was weak and couldn't protect Americans. The Obama camp figured it would ruin his chances for re-election. Look at what happened to Carter? However, were it merely a protest over a 'viral video' that got out of hand, Obama couldn't be blamed for that.
