The records started in 2005 that I googled. This apparently started under Bush...why am I not surprised.
It's a good thing someone is looking closer at tax returns and wondering why these numbers skyrocketed from 2005! There is no mention of reported payouts beyond 2005 that I can find...but sure they were going up back then. No one noticed it.. Dump the IRS and their attorneys...shame,shame,shame. Don't they work for us?
As Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration reported in July 2011, and as an Indiana television station widely reported, undocumented workers have been claiming refundable tax credits for children who are not living in the United States. Refundable credits are those that can result in refunds even if a filer has zero tax liability. Exploitation the child tax credit has cost taxpayers billions. The Ways and Means Committee believes the provision passed will save taxpayers at least $7.6 billion over the next decade. The reconciliation measure that passed on 5-10-12 ,requires that every tax filer file a Social Security number for each child they claim the credit. ABOUT TIME...I suppose we can thank Obama's tax team for this dig!
IN 2005 1 billion in refunds, illegals caught on to the loophole IN 2010!! “Undocumented workers claiming credit for children who have never lived here is fraud, pure and simple,” Congressman Huelskamp said. “And, too many in Washington have looked the other way for too long. Washington is making a bad problem worse by allowing illegal immigrants to exploit American taxpayers to their advantage. $1 billion in credits in 2005 was enough for sure, but $4.2 billion in 2010? That is completely unacceptable. I am glad we were able to advance from the House Budget Committee a measure to close this loophole, I am pleased that the House passed it, and I look forward to the Senate’s consideration and ultimate passage of this reconciliation package.”

No matter how they write the script Etchy Sketchy Willard is not a viable choice. He is bad for America. Puleez...he is clueless when it comes to basic government knowledge. When asked what he would do when faced with the possibility of war he said...."You call the attorneys and let the attorneys handle it." What????????????

As both a woman and republican party member, I decided back in August 2011 that Willard lacked the integrity, knowledge and real vision for America to be a viable candidate let alone anything else. We have seen Willard performance, heard his nonsensical blunders and his campaign of negativity. He blew millions of dollars in fending off any opponent who got close because he could. He has always been the republican party elites choice, not mine.

Willard panders to everyone and now the other half is doing more of the same. The say and do anything team still stinks.
You are misinformed. Perhaps you might try an eye opener and do some research on who are funding the politicans on either party side. you might be surprised to find the same big wall street and big rich elite folks are equally in some cases supporting both. And the same donors donating to Bush, did so for Obama and now for Willard. These people want to stay in control. Both parties are bought out. Don't let the elites pick your candidate and stop their control of the parties.
Hopefully the republican party can come up with a nominee that is the peoples choice not the republican party elite choice. A nominee with integrity that speaks the truth and has real vision for this country. Unlike the republican party pick (Willard) who is frequently caught telling his white lies, who has hides income made in blind trusts. Blind trusts are nothing other than a stupid way for those in the public eye to earn income from controverial and possibly unethical sources. If they could be upfront about these earnings then well there would be no need to hide them now would there. Willard is not as popular as McCain in 2008 was...both bad choices. Both bad for America. Both war mongers. Both for big bloated government. Both favor...
