There was a time where we had soldiers that were forced into service via the draft, and many of those soldiers cursed the very military service they were doing, whether or not if they lived or died did not make them a hero, it made them dead. But my Generation, and the Generation that is serving now is a volunteer Army. It is young men and women facing their freatest fears of death and or dismemberment, and then charging face forward knowing the possible outcome. I thought when I joined most people were in it for the college money, and then when I became a professional soldier I learned differently, we were there to make a difference, and every last one of us was not looking for glory or the spoils of war, but to make a difference in this

There is a big difference between men that were drafted, and those that look hell in the eyes and pic a fight. We have an army now that not only looks hell in the eyes and pics a fight, but they know what they are doing is right, and they are willing to risk their lives to rid even a little evil from this planet. The generation signing up now are the same young men and women that watched their parents cry as the twin towers came crashing down, you had better believe we have a score to settle, and our young men and women are not only brave enough, but they are itching for the fight.

Heavan help the world if we ever truly turn this generation loose.

Yep, you read that headline right. Chris Hayes, of MSNBC's Sunday morning show "Up with Chris Hayes," says he's uncomfortable ascribing valorous terms to fallen military because it's "rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war." Just...watch:
