Romney Sources: Condi for VP

Paul Ryan would be a much better choice. He has a high probability of delivering the swing state of Wisconsin to Romney. He has budget credibility and solid support from the Republican base. Rice brings nothing to the ticket. Blacks will vote for BHO regardless of whom Romney picks for VP. She did not impress me during her tenure in the Bush administration, and we don't need a pro-choice VP to dilute the pro-life credentials of Romney and the Republican party. If Romney picks her, my enthusiasm for the ticket will plummet dramatically.

Drudge has an exclusive up right now, citing some Romney insiders with knowledge of his Veep search, and they claim that former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is the new frontrunner. The scoop:

Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.

And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!

The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.
