Gun Control Takes Center Stage

It is being spent on the bullet train.
There is no such thing as "federal money!" It's money taken from taxpayers and used on illegal, read un-constitutional, federal programs. This madness must stop.

What's Wrong with the GOP?

"Right wing ideologues" . . . ????? What does that mean? Does it mean if you support the Constitution you are "right wing?" Does it mean if you don't support the previous 100 years of re-writing the Constitution through judicial fiat you are "right wing?" Does it mean if you understand the history behind the adoption of the Constitution through the study of readily-available source documents you are "right wing?" You, sir, are a left wing extremist attempting to justify our extra-constitutional coversion from a nation of law to a nation ruled by man-made law.

I can't wait for the demise of this disorganized bunch of big-government losers. Rather than being principled, constitutionally faithful protectors of our liberty-loving legacy, they twitter to and fro, paying lip service to our founding ideals; only concerned with looking good on television and getting re-elected. Good riddance.

Romney's Middle-class Problem

"Since Romney insists "there'll be no tax cut that adds to the deficit," he needs to make up for the lost revenue by cutting back on tax breaks . . ." I too am a Libertarian, however, why does Mr. Sullum resort to the arguments of the left, by basically saying that the tax cuts must be paid for by making up revenue from somewhere other source? Revenue will be "made up" through economic growth. As an author with a libertarian bent, I would think he would be able to see through the specious arguments of the statists and understand that reducing the un-constitutional reach of the giant central government will be all the "stimulus" we need to start growing again.

Pat says, "How does Obama unite and lead the country should he win?" The answer is, it doesn't matter to Obama. He is not interested in uniting and building consensus. He is interested only in advancing his socialist/statist agenda and amassing power in continued, brazen defiance of the Constitution. His use of executive orders to override and disembowel congressional legislation proves his comtempt for our governing document. Its all about fundamental change. He didn't lie about it, he didn't spend a lot of time hiding it . . . the electorate simply ignored it. Lord help us.

First, when you are writing about our Constitution, you capitalize it . . . Freudian slip indicating you not only don't respect our governing document, but you also have never read it! Secondly, only Karl Marx guarantees equality of outcome, not the Constitution. Our federal republican democracy, limited by the explicit rules outlined in the Constitution, simply provides equality of opportunity. "Go Foward with Obama"? Sorry, he, like you, are leftist extremists bent on destroying the country our Founders created.
"Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will put that money back into the Medicare program where it belongs, while Obama won't." Where it belongs???!!!!!???? I was looking forward to reading this article and hit a major stumbling block in the first reason not to vote for Obama. This is the Republican party's problem: they don't understand a limited central government. "Limited? Limited by what?" the RINO Hawkins might say. The Constitution, John, the Constitution. Where in the document do you find the general government is given the power to take money from sovereign citizens for purposes of providing medical care? It's not there! Unless of course you change the meaning of the entire document by construction. Republicans, Democrats . . .
