Of Marathons and Marriage

As a married marathoner, who is also a mother, I am appalled you would relate these two situations. Without proper training marathons can be dangerous. Indeed, they can be dangerous for those who've trained but may be 'having a bad day.' (I've run many 26.2s, some good - some scary, and I've trained for each & every one.)In fact, I've run the Suntrust, and I'm glad for your poor grandchildren it's not one of the more challenging courses out there. I do not believe either of them should have been on the course. Knowingly putting yourself or your children into situations where they are endangering their health is not acceptable - EVER. It's irresponsible. Shame on you and their parents, who it seems should have known better. The marriage...
