Joshua, just not a fair evaluation of our United States religious freedom. We live in the United States a nation where you are free in get 100% of the population to attend and respond to your religious dogma. We who are secular couldn't and don't care what you religious citizens do or say. However, don't consider government sponsoring religious dogma very wise!!!

Sometimes I think atheists suffer from "Christmas envy". If they had a national holiday of their own -- say Charles Darwin's birthday -- would that help them to stop treading on religious traditions? After all, people of faith -- Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, etc -- don't get disturbed by each other.

I'd disagree with your statement about the Muslims not being disturbed by others. Pay attention to the Middle East lately?

Atheists have their National Holliday.
According to the Bible, it is April I.

I don't believe in the supernatural but we celebrate Christmas just like we celebrate all the other holidays. Having relatives and friends over (most of them religious), enjoying a dinner, exchanging gifts, decorating with Santa Clauses, snowmen, reindeer, evergreens, Poinsettias, snowflakes, colored lights - we don't feel deprived in the least. The Hi-Fi is loaded up with Christmas music. If someone wants to say grace they are welcome to do so.

They do have a holiday--April Fool's Day. "A fool says in his heart there is no God."

In the immortal words of John Hagee, atheists do indeed have a holiday of their own. April 1st.

Televangelist Hagee and his followers don't need a special day - every day is Fools' Day.

If you who are secular couldn't and don't care then why do you make such a fuss over religious holiday displays or the 10 Commandments? The 10 Commandments, incidentally appear in the Supreme Court building so if it violates some sort of separation of church and state (which does not exist anywhere in the Constitution, BTW) then how did they end up there?
My open letter to my black Christian friends, written out of respect and solidarity, generated an extremely high number of email responses. They ranged from commendation to condemnation, with one email informing me that neither “you nor I are going to alter prophecy, these things are foretold, we have to pray now GOD will get us out of here before masses get destroyed!”

Espiritus offered a unique perspective: “The Black, Youth and Latino ‘vote’ is being used [by the Chinese] for the outcome [of the] 2012 election. . . . Under Komrad Obama, America’s military will be emasculated,...
