Ms. Parker, list tangible celebrated philosophies and practices of the "white man" from 1452 to 1975. Then list the infamous philosophies and practices of the "white man" from that same period. Think hard, Ms. Parker, the revolutionary changes that occurred up to 1975, didn't not include "white man". The successful effort to end the 500 year old European hegemony, eradicated these practices colonialism, imperialism, Jim crow, and white supremacy. Those reprehensible practices were stopped. Ms. Parker are your allies the American conservatives telling us they can't exist without practicing colonialism, imperialism, Jim Crow and white supremacy? Men of color and their allies didn't not target "white man" but reprehensible behavior practices.

Point of personal privilege!

Slavery and Jim Crow laws were NOT the norm in America. In fact, even before the Revolution was over, Pennsylvania had made an end of slavery in the Commonwealth, and NEVER had any Jim Crow laws. And "my people", the Pennsylvania Germans ("Dutch"), worked against slavery since its beginnings in the Colonies.

To blame America, or "white people", for the South's "peculiar institutions", is itself racist. Only the old Confederacy had such things, and was an embarrassment to the rest of US. And since the Republican Party was started as an Abolitionist party, blaming them for Democrat-sponsored slavery, Jim Crow laws, and discrimination is foolish and wrong.
The political parties throw a lot of glitz at us with their made-for-TV spectaculars, which we call conventions.

But the bottom line defining the choice facing Americans this year is stark and clear, and these conventions provide no new insights or information.

If you think we’re struggling because we don’t have enough government, then the Democrats are the party for you. If you think the point of government is to protect individual freedom, and the problem is it has gone way beyond that, then Republicans are the party for you.
