I know several people currently on unemployment and you'd be hard pressed to say they're "comfortable". I've paid into unemployment insurance for 30 years and never collected. I personally feel that if, in the future, I need to collect unemployment, you're not "giving" me anything. I'm getting my money back.
You say you want to just talk but in the next sentence you refer to "lieberals". Insults, even if they are in response to other's barbs, do not lead to civil debate.
With the snow in Texas and now the snow in Rome, it almost appears that there is some sort of....

CLIMATE CHANGE going on.
I know that seasonal workers do affect the unemployment rate and could be driving some of the November drop in unemployment.

However, the job losses rate also went down in November. This isn't affected by the holiday season.
Fewer people lost their job last month. That's a good thing.

The far right refuses to believe that they are the minority in their abject hatred for our President. His approval numbers are rising both home and abroad.

Many people are asking, "how can President Obama win the Nobel Peace prize when the voting took place after only 2 weeks in office."
After those same 2 weeks many of the same people had already placed upon him the blame for our current problems that he inherited (failing economy, bailouts, already rising deficit, wars, etc..)
So why not the Nobel Peace Prize?
After the awesome news that we were shot down in our attempt to get the olympics, we get this horrible news...

...our President has won the Nobel Peace prize.

This has to be a mistake. The fact that the people in other countries view President Obama in a favorable light can only be bad for the US.

Like it or not, it's time for the games to end and we need to realize that Obama is the President of the United States and show at least a little respect for the office.

Every day there's another crazy comment or irrational outburst. All it's doing is making the right look crazier and crazier.
This stupidity has got to stop. It's hurting the GOP's chances in upcoming elections.
Rep. Wilson's opponent has received around $300k in donations since the President's speech last night. He's probably done and will be replaced in the fall.
"A RWJF survey summarized in the September 14, 2009 edition of the New England Journal of Medicine shows that 62.9 percent of physicians nationwide support proposals to expand health care coverage that include both public and private insurance options—where people under the age of 65 would have the choice of enrolling in a new public health insurance plan (like Medicare) or in private plans."

I'm sure the standard response to hard evidence will be "The main stream liberal media in the tank for Obama."
FYI- for those of you who don't know, the NE Journal of Medicine is...
I've read all 600+ comments to this article. You've presented numerous valid questions and comments. Everytime you bring something up the only reply you get is either insulting or anecdotal (usually just an insult).

Keep bringing up the past. You can't go forward without looking back. Most people won't re-examine the errors of the Bush administration. Can't blame someone that you backed.

The mob has been whipped into an outrage. They're angry, they're not really sure why, they've been told they should be.

I just received a letter from the HR department of my company stating that my health insurance company will change in January and that my out of pocket cost will go up.

I had nothing to do with the decision. My employer made it for me.
