The walls of environmental legislative abuse are tumbling down under the bright lights of a renewed political awakening
1 - Simplify the tax code 2 - Change the big "R" to a big "N" outside the IRS buildings across the country. Simple

I believe FOX should NEVER interview Sharpton, because it is exactly what he wants. Let him fade into the obscurity of the CNN/MSNBC fog.

My view of the problem is that it sends the message that this language is acceptable in everyday use. It is not. It only shows an inability to express yourself with intelligence and decorum. David Niven did not need to resort to vulgarity to belittle the streaker, he used his wit.

I was riding on a train from NYC to NJ last week and there was group of 20 somethings discussing various subjects loudly. Not a problem, except one young woman kept peppering her diatribe with language that made her feel cool, but sound stupid. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it was a sad reflection on what is acceptable public behavior.

Where does it stop?

Profiling does not mean looking for young Arab males; it means having trained observers look for suspicious characters (using their own judgment) and pulling those individuals aside for more thorough screening. It typically would eliminate most of the useless grandma searches, and increase the chances to catch a nefarious individual (thus making him/her more nervous and easier to spot).

Profile now!
Hey Jim - My wife has a BSW and a MSW (Masters of Social Work) and she is fine. I admit that her "peers" are usually leftists, but she tends to "get it (with a lot of help from me).

Just be careful painting with too broad a brush. We need to convert, not destroy the opposition.

As an EMT in NJ I can assure you I have treated every kind of pt. you could imagine. When we arrive in the ambulance, we do whatever we need to do to aid the pt. Never, never, never has ability to pay entered into our decisions. We treat and transport to whichever hospital is best equipped to treat the injury/illness, and they treat regardless of insurance.

That is simply the way it works.

Oh yeah, we don't charge - we're volunteers.

Hey oracle1 - the story is about NJ politics. You are so off-base your message is lost. You might be more effective if you had - 1 - message, that related how NJ has a problem with illegals.

No one wants to listen if you rant.

I live in Bergen County (North) NJ, in an even rarer Republican town. Simple proof of the truth that lower taxes raise revenue is the fact that our gas stations are packed on the borders of NY. NJ has much lower gas prices due to NJ having a lower gas tax. In fact, it is the third lowest in the nation. Recently the NJPP, a liberal-leaning think tank, proposed raising the gas taxes by 20 cents, this would supposedly generate $1 billion a year, but these nimrods forget that we get substantial business from these commuter purchases, which would eveporate if the gas prices go up.

Our politicions need to stop sucking on the tet of the few remaining taxpayers willing to live in the Garden State, or it will look an awful lot like...
My 17 year old son is very interested in history and takes AP history (Advanced Placement) courses in H.S. He often laments to me the lack of knowledge of his peers. My 13 year old son can name most countries just by looking at the flag, and easily can place most on a world map.

I am a Bill Bennett fan. Is there a connection? I think so.......
