Oh, please. I'm sorry he blames a murder on the gun, but the fact that he's not calling Zimmerman a racist like Sharpton, Jackson et al. suggests Cosby has intelligence.

Cosby's definitely wrong, of course, but there are, as you said elsewhere, emotional blocks that he has to properly thinking the problem through. While not an excuse per se, it is an understandable explanation.

That said, the primary problem with the Martin case is that it ever made national news. Killings like this, self-defense or no, happen every single day in our country. Where's the outrage for those countless victims, be they the ones with the guns or the ones with the bullets?

I hate it when they hold up one particular unfortunate event which is unremarkable in any way as if it were some sort of special occurrence...

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby says the debate over the killing of Trayvon Martin by a neighborhood watch volunteer should be focused on guns, not race.

In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union" aired Sunday, Cosby said calling George Zimmerman a racist doesn't solve anything. Cosby says the bigger question is what Zimmerman was doing with a gun, and who taught him how to behave with it.

The shooting of the 17-year-old Martin on Feb. 26 has ignited a nationwide debate about race and self-defense.
