For Californians looking to move elsewhere, please DON'T come to Colorado. Too many of the liberal Californians already have, and are doing their worst to turn us into another California. Sigh!
Love the chemistry and geology lessons in your responses to Olive the DooDat. They make a lot more sense than her goose plop.
And responsibilities. The collectivists would rather give up responsibility for their choices and actions to someone else (think "the devil made me do it:"). They need to be educated that like it or not, all power vests in the individual and they can't give responsibility for their choices and actions to anyone else. Ever.
Not quite. Yes, we conservatives have made significant gains, particularly in the House, but the country is still split right down the middle between those who understand that all power vests in the individual, and those who refuse that understanding. It's getting to the point where oil and water won't stay mixed and must separate. I don't know how that will happen, much less what the results will be, but it will happen--probably with a significant amount of violence. The takers must be brought to understand that the makers will no longer give the results of their labor to the takers without getting fair value in return.
Or die.
Actually, San Fran and LA should secede and leave the red part of the state with the rest of the US. Then we'll see how well your great blue spots manage without the rest of the country.
But PL IS a radical. Why else would he think the rest of us are unutterably stupid "wing nuts?"
Thanks! If you think we conservatives in Colorado are happy about having to deal with a loopy governor (Hickenlooper), much less a senator who's as idiotic as the current occupant of the White House, think again. At least we did manage to retake the General Assembly, along with the Secretary of State (thumbing our noses at George Soros' Secretaries of State project) and Treasurer. We'd love to have all the Californidiots who moved here over the last two decades and brought their oh-so-progressive ways with them go back to California. Not gonna happen, of course. Unfortunately.
I also know a number of practitioners of Wicca as well as pantheists and polytheists. Some of them are among my best friends. Even though Christine O'Donnell is apparently a strong Christian now, that she has known people who practice Wicca suggests that while she may feel they are misguided, she is more likely to recognize them as constituents--real people, in other words. As for homosexuality, while there may well be a genetic predisposition to sexual misidentification (that is, where one's Lizard brain, which deals with dominance/submission issues, and/or one's Monkey brain, which deals with sexual identity and partner preference, disagree with the physical equipment), acting on it is a choice, not a certainty. Like many other...
Guess what. She's right.
