The Beginning of the Beginning of the Immigration Debate

Nevada is one of the most sparsely populated states in the union, yet they have published figures stating that they spent 1 billion, 100 million on illegals last year! And we know almost half that was taken from the babies future earnings, practically assuring they cannot ever buy a house or send a kid to college because their income will be needed to pay the interest on the Federal Debt run up by todays Government spending. I am trying to get someone of the Liberal Democrats supporting the Immigration reform to step forward to defend this!!!!! Why are all the supporters of this upcomming immigration bill so quiet on this subject? Do none of them have the courage of their conviction or are they, as usual hiding under their beds?

The end of the first week of the debate over immigration reform proved that it is the roller derby of public policy debates for Republicans and Democrats alike.

Louisiana Senator David Vitter was the first to provide a face plant and skid over the rails. The blowback directed at Vitter for mocking Marco Rubio was intense, and the penalty box includes a copy of An American Son for reading. “Naïve” about immigration doesn’t work well with the son of immigrants.

More seriously, Senator Schumer may have declared immigration reform over before it began...
