"Supercarp wrote: I'm trying to understand the rationale for not believeing that global warming is happening" For those who want man made global warming as their new religion I ask these simple questions. How could you possibly accept the colonizing of the Moon and Mars, thereby polluting their atmospheres also? Are we not pukie enough for destroying the polar bear without also destroying the atmospheres of the blue moon and the red planet? Do we want to become intergalactic criminals also?

Please explain how we can change the climate by our actions when mankind cannot even make it rain. Nor even predict the weather accurately.

Watched a special on tv last night. Apparently the earth has a "wobble" in it's orbit, and every 20,000 years the Sahara (yea, that big desert) becomes all green and wet. So, if the Sahara was like the rain forest less than 20,000 years ago, and it all dried up, who would you blame? Answer then and now is good old mother nature. Just like now. Good old mother earth doing her thing. Idiots like liberals get all messed up by that.

According to that theory, we have 8,000 to 12,000 more years before a compete wobble when Canada and the northern US becomes covered in a glacier. However, there are many variables which may put tropical rain somewhere besides the Sahara and glaciers somewhere besides Canada. You won't know what will happen, until it happens. But, people believe absurd things.

In course of study 9Eons ago) in Archeology/Anthropology it was taught as Gospel that Asians crossed the Bering Straits, and left lots of arrow-heads deposited in Clovis NM, etc. And with Carbon Dating and all that jazz, it was later "determined" that may not be right and those Indians had somehow trickled down to southern Chile before the Clovis bunch scattered east/west. So, Yeah, climate does change, just like the EX.

When he first wrote this recycled piece (April 2012) I asked him why he did not also condemn the person who stole the emails from the East Anglia. As the NYT link shows, there was condemnation of Gleick's action from those on all sides of the political spectrum.- Caught Red-Handed on Climate Change

Dear Comrade Mikey,

Why not admit that instead of Gleick making a "serious ethical error," that he committed a crime? Stealing is always wrong.

The irony is that you ask me...
