Perhaps the unwashed out there who deal with the real world and real people daily, are years ahead of the politicians. Maybe they, living in that real world, getting cheated, lied to and double crossed almost daily, really do understand Government. Politically, America has become somewhat like visiting Jakarta, Indonesia. Great Skyscrapers and lovely hotels like Singapore and Kuala Lampur, while at street level, there is no telling what you may step in! In further pursuing that theory, I wonder if they, who breathe real air, have already decided nothing will ever be done about the Debt, that politicians are just rearranging Deck Chairs on this Titanic and like our ancestors facing their mortality, just choose to cope!

More likely they, like the passengers and crew of the Titanic, believe they are on an unsinkable ship. The warning signs and messages have been seen and posted for the crew to see. Some of the crew have expressed concerns but the captain sails on at breakneck speed without altering course. By the time reality kicks in it will be too late. This ship will be going down hard by the bow and few will be the survivors.

It's about time they got what they voted for..... Good and hard.

Yeah, it'll suck for all of us. The smarter citizens have seen this coming and will hunker down and get through it. The idiots will suffer like never before.

Elections have consequences. The liberals have made their choice, now they're going to get to live with it. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch, I'd say.

Peas are all the rage when it comes to talking about the country’s fiscal woes.

You might remember that in July of 2011, when fighting over the debt ceiling, president Obama- right before he left for his 17th vacation at Martha’s Vineyard that year- complained about congressional inaction by saying that’s it time for the country “to eat its peas.”

From CBSNews:

"I've been hearing from my Republican friends for some time it is a moral imperative to tackle our debt and deficits in a serious way," Mr. Obama said. "What I've said to them is, let's go."
