I think he neglected to mention No Child Left Behind : co-sponsored by the present Speaker of the House!
Does anyone think seriously that Obama had anything to do with it except viewing it as a fait accompli? Fortunately, his disinterest in the military was so great that he had not stopped the military pursuit long ago, and was presented with something he could not halt without a revolt among our real leaders.
He was in Austin yesterday shooting his mouth off about protecting voting rights. I guess this means he will revisit the matter of those fellows in military garb with night sticks intimidating voters in front the polls?

Re Boortz' last paragraph: What good would it do the rest of us to reward bad behavior? The part about going after the "really bad" ones is textbook Obama - so the rest have done nothing improper? Do you suppose they might just be in the 50% who pay no federal income taxes and contribute to the deficit by soaking up welfare benefits?

Not taxing those below the so-called poverty line needs to be examined. The essence of flat tax is that everyone pays a flat rate on his income. Why not, and why is that not "fair?" You can bet the "poor" are receiving their "entitlements" paid for by the 50% who now pay federal income taxes. What would the effect be on the huge deficit if everyone pays? This is an issue that has not been (publicly at least) analyzed because the politicians are afraid of it being characterized as a dread tax increase, which it would not be. If you're not paying, you should pay your fair share as Obama loves to say, period. Let's eliminate the class warfare.

The Wisdom of a $12 Haircut

Obviously about more than haircuts and their price, but refreshing nonetheless. My beautician of ten years is no longer available, so I went to another place with some trepidation. When I paid, the Vietnamese lady said "Phillip, you senior?" which I acknowledged, and she gave me $2 off the $13 price, so I gave her $14 and still saved over the beautician - what a deal, and I like the cut! Son-in-law says you can get a $30 cut and shave at the mall - probably reasonable but I'll wait on that until the next stimulus comes in..

If you think Obama knew nothing, you have no idea how the government works, believe me. There would have been briefings, papers, and who knows how many regular visits by Holder. Even Holder would not have been that stupid.
Romney was acting like a Democrat when he said Perry wants to abolish sociable insecurity based on his correct characterization of it as a Ponzi scheme, although even Mr. Ponzi might be embarrassed by this one . If it is necessary to address SS and Medicare, it must repeatedly be pointed out that those already dependent on it through no fault of their own will not be affected. This has always been true, but Romney has disgracefully bought into the big lie.
Yes, but......The emphasis on "criminal" illegals as opposed to the good, law-abiding ILLEGALs, is reminiscent of how access to medical care became entitlement to health insurance even though there was in fact access, insurance or not. How one frames the question determines the answer. So it follows that taking care of the criminal illegal problem means we do something less to deal with the others. The problem is that most illegals have inevitably committed felonies and serious misdemeanors relative to false documents that would lead to prosecution for the rest of us if caught.. The mantra of an unnamed fine and payment of back taxes (none in reality because they will be thrown in with the %50 who pay no federal income tax) is an...

Why Birtherism Is Here To Stay

It may be best to continue the investigation quietly for political reasons, but: (1) to those who say it doesn't matter because he is now President, it does matter because he would not be a legitimate, constitutional President; (2) what people "believe" may or may not comport with the facts, and (3) why on earth would one simply buy into the genuineness of a piece of paper produced by the White House without analyzing it, especially after 2.5 years? His radical agenda of what's best for us peasants may very well trump (sorry) being honest with the American people because it could slow down the socialist train; if he had not lied and concealed his actions repeatedly up to now, it might be different.
