Does anyone think seriously that Obama had anything to do with it except viewing it as a fait accompli? Fortunately, his disinterest in the military was so great that he had not stopped the military pursuit long ago, and was presented with something he could not halt without a revolt among our real leaders.

He was in Austin yesterday shooting his mouth off about protecting voting rights. I guess this means he will revisit the matter of those fellows in military garb with night sticks intimidating voters in front the polls?

Not taxing those below the so-called poverty line needs to be examined. The essence of flat tax is that everyone pays a flat rate on his income. Why not, and why is that not "fair?" You can bet the "poor" are receiving their "entitlements" paid for by the 50% who now pay federal income taxes. What would the effect be on the huge deficit if everyone pays? This is an issue that has not been (publicly at least) analyzed because the politicians are afraid of it being characterized as a dread tax increase, which it would not be. If you're not paying, you should pay your fair share as Obama loves to say, period. Let's eliminate the class warfare.

Yes, but......The emphasis on "criminal" illegals as opposed to the good, law-abiding ILLEGALs, is reminiscent of how access to medical care became entitlement to health insurance even though there was in fact access, insurance or not. How one frames the question determines the answer. So it follows that taking care of the criminal illegal problem means we do something less to deal with the others. It may be best to continue the investigation quietly for political reasons, but: (1) to those who say it doesn't matter because he is now President, it does matter because he would not be a legitimate, constitutional President; (2) what people "believe" may or may not comport with the facts, and (3) why on earth would one simply buy into the genuineness of a piece of paper produced by the White House without analyzing it, especially after 2.5 years? His radical agenda of what's best for us peasants may very well trump (sorry) being honest with the American people because it could slow down the socialist train; if he had not lied and concealed his actions repeatedly up to now, it might be different.
