Actually, that is the job of the federal judiciary--to check elected officials shown by their actions to have been bad political choices.
And right after he was elected in 2008, a Ph.D. psychologist burbled to me, "He's the King!"
Another product of self-esteem-based schooling who can't be bothered to check spelling and doesn't know capitalization conventions. And the content was so trenchant, too!
Three questions: 1. What do you mean by "think with their blood"? Never heard that particular insult before. 2. Have you ever been a Republican? Do you know any actual Republicans or Tea Party supporters? What qualifies you to characterize them? 3. Are you a computer program? You are on so often making so little sense with so little relevance I find it hard to imagine a human brain behind such verbiage.
The idea that the state can forcibly relocate people who have committed no crime to "punishment housing camps" reminds me of how the Nazis relocated Jews to the Warsaw Ghetto...and then to the death camps. The terms "scum" and "trash" are dehumanizing, as well. What happens to the "trash" of such camps if they continue to show no improvement? What will the "special units" be asked to do then?
Absolutely--I've been saying that for some time. Besides Eleanor32's good reasons for returning the minmum age to 21, there is fact that a large proportion of 18-20 year olds are in college and under the influence of the radical leftist culture of indoctrination that exists there. They enter this culture primed by previous schooling to embrace this ideology and mostly lacking adequate intellectual resources (truthful civics and history classes) to stand against it. Take away this "youth vote" and Obama wouldn't have had even a first term in office.
OK, I see I replied to a post by Dread 11 hours ago...sorry for the apparent non sequitur. Regarding evolution I actually agree with him/her.
I agree that we must be free to choose among various ideas, but the problem is that some ideas are forcefully promoted at universities and others are consistently censored. It depends on the department, of course--I doubt math or physics professors propound an ideology, but the social sciences do. I heard my faith called "a necrophiliac religion" by my sociology professor. When I raised my hand to object, she told me "You're a male. You can't speak." Another prof called the doctrine of the Trinity "a pile of..." My grad advisor told me I was not awarded an assistantship, despite having taken the most courses and earned the highest average because I was a Christian. I never advertised my faith, just admitted it when asked. I could go on.
If politically offensive speech is not protected, speech is not protected.
Not to mention the fact that Obama is no Lincoln. The Democrats were then, as now, a party that practiced identity politics by setting one group against each other, appealed to racism to stir supporters, and believed in keeping African-Americans enslaved and dependent. Not only was Abraham Lincoln a Republican, so was Frederick Douglass. On the other hand, when the KKK was created, it was known as "the military arm of the Democratic Party." A pity more people don't know history.
