Too bad folk don't like GOD messing with their lives, even though the American freedom called LIBERTY is that freedom to do that which is right in the sight of God. If HE still was messing with us in government life, HE would forbid the government from taking 10 percent or more of our increase, whatever that would be considered. GOD has a threshold of slavery HE sets at ten percent...in fact that is HIS percentage to allow us to know that as Christians we are servants to HIM. But if a king takes ten percent (or government takes this amount) we the people are slaves to that government (1Samuel 8:15-17). What did God say about rendering what to God and what to Caesar? 1 Corinthians 7:20-24 forbids the people to be servants to men once we are made free, and if made free we are to USE IT…use it how? To remain free is why we USE IT, because we are already considered slaves to God and we cannot have two masters and thus HE says we are not any longer to be slaves to men. Perhaps this is where we get the phrase USE IT or LOSE IT. As for all this entitlement that government does. God also forbids righteous government, the type that we are to submit to, ones that are NOT terrors to good works (Romans 13:3), to deal in charity because that is the sole responsibility of the people not government. The government is also responsible to collect only that for which they are owed (to protect the lives, liberties and possessions, not health, of the people, and that for their GOOD, not their enslavement). This is found in Luke 3 where three groups of people having repented were told to do certain things. One was the group of just people, the other two were government entities in contact, usually, directly with the people, or the tax collectors and the magistrate/soldiers entrusted with public safety. You won’t believe me so here is the text of how responsibility is shared. Luke 3:10-14(KJV) 10And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? 11He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise [only the people are to do charity]. 12Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? 13And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. 14And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages [I guess this is news to the public servant unions such as that in Wisconsin]. Now do you miss God’s influence in the lives of our government officials?
Perhaps Israel is finally listening to her own scriptures. The fellah the claims Israel is just too paranoid concerning five or so layers of backup for incoming missiles never heard the following admonition: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12(KJV) 9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. For America, the founders who were too suspicious of governments to find in the normal discourse a safe reason for the existence of government considered this…a government is not for charity or for education of the children neither of which governments can do well, but government as a gun, and as Romans 13 has it, a sword, or a force for the sole purpose of managing the force of the community (US with our own weapons of self defense we train with on our own dime, incidentally a great savings for the state who can beat up their already rifle skilled citizens into an army in half the time majoring only on those skills of moving armies as a unit, marching and military discipline so that they can be as good as a well regulated militia, the REGULAR ARMY – see the second amendment) for the sole aim of protecting the inalienable rights of innocent LIFE, LIBERTY, and Possessions for the GOOD OF THE PEOPLE. One thing governments protect is the LIBERTY of the civilian, and LIBERTY is the American version of FREEDOM, namely, the freedom to do that which is RIGHT in the sight of GOD. America’s government, while not making value judgments for the most part, is not for the protecting of LICENSE, which John Locke calls suicide, for GOD PUT US ON THIS EARTH TO LIVE, and not to quit our station early, and if we do not have a moral right as individuals to off ourselves before the time, then that is a right we cannot delegate to another in that this is in the hands of God (and the reason we have to include God in the formula for LIBERTY – to emphasize that God controls the ending of innocent death). John Locke in his discussion of this in his Second Treatise of Government insists that SUICIDE is not LIBERTY but LICENSE, so LICENSE must be, in the scheme of things such as pressing the envelope, the complement of freedoms LIBERTY will embrace, that are deleterious to innocent life and at best indifferent to the protection of innocent life. I am hoping that it is understood America’s Liberty is what people die for…the right to do that which is right in the sight of God, because another proverb found in the scriptures is that “There is a way that SEEMETH right to a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death. Government has no good record of understanding what is right according to God, so such things must be left to the people even if there has to be a buffer for the fools (people who do not align their lives with a knowledge of God and HIS interests) to practice and obtain knowledge, hopefully, from their neighbors if not from their own family and religious institutions. Remember all of us were bone headed heathens before we understood the ways of God…so give ourselves a break when being too harsh on us as we learn. Too many laws are not a good thing for the people because government cannot craft a law so brilliantly pointed to cover only a bad thing but as a tack with an enlarged head, it not only gets to the point of the evil it also covers much more, namely righteous enterprise. So allow the people LIBERTY, and to teach against License which is abortion, euthanasia, homosexuality (not the government but the people in their learning institutions as they teach their own children what is right in the sight of God and why governments CANNOT pass laws against those doing homosexual sins in their closets but give them opportunity for the people to teach them what is right in the sight of God and allow GOD alone to deal with them until it gets to the point where innocent children are victims of these folk). Those things that are deleterious to human innocent life, governments can pass laws about, and how they go about protecting the Liberty of the people to teach one another what is right or wrong, and to leave the property alone so the people can have that which maintains their innocent life and the endeavors to exploit their liberty.

Churches that you attend (don't attend? then check out the doctrines according to the Bible and then do that which is necessary) are the better places to deposit charities that they oversee. Responsible oversight is better found in these than most other places...especially if the oversight is withing one's own ken.

The people are to do their own charity according to Luke 3 where three groups are mentioned, ironically one group "THE PEOPLE", and two government groups, each in some manner interacting with the public, namely, TAX COLLECTORS, and SOLDIER/MAGISTRATES. Only to the People does John the Baptist admonish to do charity, to the other two groups, mind you, freshly righteous after repenting, he tells to behave themselves in their original responsibilities. Governments can't do charity anyway because this word charity is an English translation for the Greek word AGAPE in the Bible meaning unconditional love, in that the writers of the New Testament coined that word, perhaps to redeem it, from a possibly little used other Greek word that had a bit more testy connotation. Governments steal from the people (who are the ones SUPPOSED to do charity) the money that they then distribute as largesse with mandates, strings, CONDITIONS, and overt or covert demands for political remunerations.

Hey, this is news, the tea party is racist? What am I going to do with my Filipina wife and my own two biracial children, in that I am of the tea party mentality?
Organized religion is actually organized charity and organized education according to the Biblical worldview [check out what James says of religion pure and undefiled, and what John the Baptist says, in Luke 3], and governments that are usurping the people's responsibility (sometimes willingly or lazily given up) to do their own charity and to train their own children on their own dime pretty much as what was found in the Second Amendment of individuals owning and bearing or training on their own weapons on their own dime and not that of the states, who would just have to beat up the recruit in how to march and move as a unit to get him up to army regulation. Jefferson was severely attacked by clergy who were involved with opposing political parties, dredging up muck to discredit him using the religious sentiment of the time. He was not all against organized religion, but that which made the preacher the only magesterium of the churches, instead of looking to the pure word of the Bible which Jefferson had HIGH respect for and was involved with printing up, even with public funds, Bibles for missions projects and had edited one for the Indians which he deemed not sophisticated enough to be involved in much more than the words and sentiments of Jesus, and he also edited one showing the major thinking or philosophy of Jesus in order to place among his digests of other great philosophers. He felt the Jesus of the Bible beat out most if not all the other thinkers in this world. Jefferson vacillated all over the place in his opinions of the Bible and religions. His was to not isolate one denomination for consideration but allow ALL denominations to be in the Universities and let the best man win out in the minds of folk. I would disagree with his understanding of Calvinism, but being Baptist with my own brand of Biblical doctrines similar to Calvin, the Baptists were more the victims of the Presbyterian and Congregational, and even some Anglican Calvinists still flush with the practices on the continent to be liberal in allowing folk a Liberty of Conscience, though every one of these soon took on that mantle as well, and the Baptists as victims of shunning similar to his, he took more of an appreciative stance in that many of these supported him, and why that letter which talks about shutting the government from the business of churches…which…is religion true and undefiled being charity and education to be done be the people while government protects their physical lives, liberties and possessions. For you to denigrate the organized religions as churches, which Biblically speaking are but visible and local assemblies, not the vast denominational universal church myths, such being prone to corruption than the individual assemblies, which live or die on their closeness to the scriptures, is a common remedy…but not a Biblical concept that you have folk to practice. A true church is based upon the concept of the law of two or three witnesses that establishes a matter spoken of in the Torah of Moses and upon the lips of Jesus in Matthew 18 and in John 5. This law in Moses’ time says, in the mouth of one witness shall no man be put to death, but in the mouth of witnesses two or three (or more) shall a person worthy of death be put to death (or a matter be established), and it is found in Article three, section three of the Constitution concerning treason. They are witnesses to the world concerning the gospel, and they are to teach or make disciples, baptize those true disciples, and teach them the commandments of Jesus which are based on unconditional love for the most part if not all.
I just heard that the Air Force just dropped "SO HELP ME GOD" from their oath. NO WAY, MAN, YES WAY, SO HELP ME GOD.
Government in charity and education is the biggest church/state scandal there is, because charity IS RELIGION if you check in with John the Baptist in Luke 3 and in James. The people are to do charity, not government which is a gun...a gun that uses the force of the community to wrest our children from us and into government instututions and in irony forbid the little guns frome even USING GUNS to protect our precious children.
Libertarians almost have a good understanding until they stumble at diviing below the lowest common denomenator that John Locke was trying to establish between rationalists and religionists that both could live with under government and that was a respect for life. Since many Libertarians demand absolute human rights even the "right" to suicide and the innocent child murder of abortion, it might be educational for them to understand that these rights undermine what is called inalienable, and these rights are only given by a Creator who put us on this earth to live, and since Locke said that suicide is NOT LIBERTY (I guess they take their name from this form of freedom) but LICENSE, we ought to call them the Licensitarians.

The Coming Betrayal of Israel

Since way before America sent the Liberty communications spy ship to Israel to spy on their tank communications and send the data to Egypt during one of the earlier wars between them, the United States government, especially under Democrat administrations have never really been a friend to Israel.
