I am tired of hearing we need a new communications strategy. We live in a country where people are free to ignore you. They DO catch things from the MS mostly containing Obama. That is what THEY permit themselves to be informed with. I get sick of pundit who prattle about communications with people who DO NOT listen to Republican communication. What these people understand is if their lives are interrupted and they HAVE to try and figure out whose right. If you aren't willing to shutdown the government then you really aren't going to get the attention of these people.

"First you win the argument -- then you win the vote," is the now well-known quote from Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. President Ronald Reagan was the last Republican president who understood and used that strategy.

President Barack Obama and his team also understand the phrase and are using it to their advantage. They are making a full-court press in the public arena to lay out their argument against sequestration and for more taxes.
