To Arley at 2:42:55 -- Bolden "another Chicago community organizer"? Hardly! Charlie Bolden is a pilot, astronaut, and Marine. He spent 34 years in the Corps, retiring with the rank of Major General. While serving, he spent more than a decade in NASA's Astronaut Office. As an astronaut he flew four Shuttle orbital flights (including the one that deployed the Hubble Space Telescope), commanding two of those missions. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He flew more than a hundred combat missions in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Sloppy writing encourages sloppy thinking, and sloppy thinking provides fertile mental soil for leftist notions. Which is one reason why soi-disant progressives twist their panties into such outraged knots whenever anyone pipes up in favor of clarity, lucidity, or coherence -- on paper, at the lectern, wherever.

You didn't get the memo, did you? Ultimately, only the nomenklatura will have private vehicles. The rest of us, poor and marginally unpoor alike, will be required to use the "affordable transportation" provided by city buses, urban light-rail boondoggles, and unsafe public-private aircraft. Live outside a city? Hard cheese. You shouldn't be traveling anyway.

And
Donovan at 8:47 -- What conservatives actually say is "We will help you help yourself." What liberals don't dare say aloud is "We will secure our own power by buying your votes -- i.e., by bribing you with other people's money."
