I hear that what's wrong with health care is greedy insurance companies. So we are going to turn health care over to politicians who are greedy, lust for power, and are completely without conscience on spending taxpayers money? Nice idea.

Liberal politicians build themselves monuments (Pride), collude with special interests for profits (Greed), encourage welfare (Sloth), run on class warfare (Envy), get cozy with media & Hollywood elites who traffic in sex (Lust), and get very angry why someone disagree with them (Wrath). Oh, I forgot, you guys have no moral therefore, none of these apply to you. By all means, use them as a stick to hit Christian. By the way, Christians give more to charity than liberals.

If Obama gets his health care plan passed Congress, together with everything he rammed down our throats this year, he'll destroy our country in 5 years (think Soviet Empire)and he may not get reelected. His chance of reelection, ironically, increases if his health care plan is stopped and his destruction slowed.

If all doctors prescribe medicine to patients the same way politicians prescribe fixes to problems, they will all be sued for malpractice. These politicians are completely clueless about what they are doing and the harmful effect they cause.

Also, when did we make to transition from "give me liberty or give me death" to "take my liberty and give me government-run health care"?

Then we should do 2 things:

1) New Contract with Americans. Americans care about issues, not party affiliation. We need to restore our Constitution. Get rid of all those who want to destroy it, Democrats or not.

2) We need term limits. Limit politicians power. A lot of them (not all of them)have no skills and cannot find jobs that offer equivalent pay, benefit, and perks. So they spend all their time scheming with special interests to hold on to power and enrich themselves. They are not parasites (which don't tend to harm the host), they are flesh eating bacteria.

The leftists are drawn to big government because they are drawn to power like moth drawn to candle light. Wake up, Americans, these people want to rule you. They don't care about your well being. To them, we are unsophiscated polluters to be controlled.

It's easier to persuade the uninformed when you misdefine terms like capitalism and socialism. Thank you for pointing that out.

Unfortunately, what's setting the agenda in Washington today are lies propagated by movies such as this and others, e.g. Inconvenient truth, sicko, etc.

where the friends and supporters of current administration are rewarded at the expense of their competitors. You can either play ball and support the Democratic Party or you'll be punished, sometimes severely. Forget the troublesome free market: the Americans are too dumb to vote with their own money. Let the government decides who win and who lose. Excellent products and services and customer satisfaction has nothing to do with it. Perhaps that's why Obama got along so well with third world dictators.

Congress admits that it doesn't read the bill it passes.

Most members in Congress probably don't understand economics very well by the way the spend money and subscribe to socialism.

This is akin to a Quack who did not study the effect of a drug (i.e. reading the bill), having not tested it before, unfamiliar with an illness (name whatever problem Congress want to fix), offers it to a patient with complete disregard that this may actually harm him.

If we think it's okay for doctors to practice medicine that way, then I guess it's okay to take this medicine from Congress & Obama.

Oh, by the way, they know that the pill is poisonous because Waxman said he won't accept that system for Congressional members.

Since when is telling the government back off your right to your property extreme?

Most attendees to townhall looks like they are law-abiding citizens who work, pay their taxes, and don't want Government intrusion of their lives. I like to know who gets a paycheck from insurance company.

Contrast that with professional agitating activists who are paid inappropriately with tax money or activist organization. Or people who live off the government and other people's money.

America has turned upside down when law-abiding, productive citizens who just want to be left alone are demonized because it is important that other groups can feed off the fruits of their own labor.
