I don't know why the right wing crowd refuses to read the constitution. Perhaps, they just don't like what they see in Article 1 Section 7 or maybe words like Amendments, Objections and the like are a bit too large. All legislation is the joint product of both the house and the senate with amendments being proposed - let's say the end of LIFO or higher tax rates for millionaires - and an identical version being approved by both houses before being sent to the President for a signature or a veto. Passing a bill now is like starting to make a cake from scratch while your quests sit waiting at the table. It is a pointless, rude gesture that fools nobody. This manufactured crisis is dismal failure not only for the Repubs for the country.

All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by
I haven't checked in on TH for a while and thought I would take a look. What I see leads me to believe that TH must have read too many polls about the American ignorance and rather than attempting a cure decided to capitalize instead. Placing Ms. Pavlich's misleading headline at the top of the page is pure genius, if the aim is to make TH into a lightweight marketing tabloid in the same vein as The National Enquirer.

All those congressional reps who complain about the length of bills need to return the billions of dollars wasted on staff people. If these staff people aren't reading and analyzing the bills what the heck are they doing?

The truth is that teapublicans are terrible people but it is not true that they hate everyone. They do love the rich so.
JUAN WILLIAMS, FOX NEWS POLITICAL ANALYST: Well, actually, I hate to say this to you because I don’t want to get your ego going. But I think you’re right. I think, look, political correctness can lead to some kind of paralysis where you don’t address reality. I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the bus, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Negro Chirstian garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Negro Christians, I get worried. I get nervous. Now, I remember also that when the Times Square bomber was at court, I think this was just last week. He said the war with Negro...
