The Message Romney Missed

The only thing missing was a picture of Obama holding a newspaper saying "Romney wins". Otherwise, Romney's campaign was a clone to that of Thomas Dewey. In fact, Dewey has been the model for every RepublicancCampaign since then, with the exception of Reagan, i.e. none aggresive, generic and bland. Ike was lucky because everyone liked Ike. Nixon was lucky because everyone hated Johnson. GH Bush was lucky the first time because everyone loved Reagan, while his son was lucky because everyone was tired of Clinton. GH Bush the 2nd time, Dole, and McCain had no luck. However only Romney was able to duplicate to perfection the disaster that was Dewey. But we will see this campaign again as it is the only kind that RINOs know.

The post mortems on the presidential campaign continue to pour in, the ones on the botched Romney effort the more interesting (and more depressing for those of us who supported him). President Obama was clearly vulnerable, and Mitt Romney clearly positioned to defeat him.

So what went wrong? Let me add my analysis. Three words: Message. Messenger. Messaging.

The messenger was flawed, unwilling to take risks, unprepared for the Obama political wrecking machine, left dazed and confused Election Night.

If inept messaging could be deemed a felony, this campaign was a crime against humanity. I've never seen...
