The sales tax is the only fair tax and it should have a ten percent cap as was discussed back when they were debating the income tax amendment. And it is the only true measure of wealth as many who claim no income have plenty of money to spend. And it frees the citizen from the yearly trip to the dungeon know as tax preparation time. More revenue would be collected as pimps, dope dealers, prostitutes, armed robbers, burglars, street huslers and the mafia whose cash income is immune from the income tax would come into the system when they go on those buying sprees the ordinary citizen can't afford.

I agree. Everyone should pay taxes based on what services they use not as a punishment for earning more. And the poor should pay as much as the rich. Why should my rich neighbor have to pay a higher real estate tax? He does not receive anything more than what I receive in services from our local government. It is ridiculous and immoral.
