Marlin Stutzman's seemingly inevitable journey to Washington may now come sooner than anticipated. He lives in IN-3, and Indiana Republicans can name a replacement candidate at their convention.

And so should MSNBC, who in the past week used fake photos of Sarah Palin in a piece that was critical of her. Yes, Fox needs to get their act together. They're not the only one.

Specter tells Bachmann to stop interrupting him and "act like a lady", but he interrupts Bachmann numerous times. There's clearly a double standard going on. So yes, he is being sexist.

...one has to wonder whether the NRCC and the RNC can be considered mainstream conservative organizations.
Being a Christian myself, I really can't get worked up on this one. Thing is, we Christians don't ascribe the same importance to holy days that other religions do. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have two special days out of the year to celebrate and remember the gift of salvation that Jesus Christ gives us, but celebrating on those two particular days isn't actually mandated by Scripture. After all, should we remember Him on those 2 days and not the other 363? The reason why sporting events happen on Christianity's supposed "holy days" is not that Christians are persecuted, but Christians just honestly don't care. Our faith is in Jesus Christ, not in the calendar.
Those hurricanes must be really blowing hard now if they're actually moving tectonic plates! That or Glover just fails at science.

CBO Hands Baucus Health Bill Win

We've finally got a bill that will, at least on paper, not add to the federal debt. Unfortunately, it will place an increased financial burden on the poor and make health care more expensive for working families. I honestly think I preferred H.R. 3200 to this bill, though both fail to be an improvement over the status quo.
